Hi I’m M (they/them or simply M) the person behind the aaakzt project.
Coming from a background with learning the Keyboard, Bass and Guitar but always staying punk about it even if i was mistaking it for hardcore for a long time. I played the Bass in a couple of Bands in Berlin from Riot Girl Punk with Rose Rage and some nerdy mathy Experimental Rock with written out and pitched Feedback and Harsh Noise elements. Finding fascination in both disciplines i.e. playing the Bass and Harsh Noise, I started the project aaakzt in 2021.
At first it was an approach to different styles of distortions and feedbackloops with some rhythmic content and a monthly release for 12 months.
After exploring the different approaches M started diving into more elaborated soundscapes and adding lyrics from spoken word to screaming to the mix and was always trying to stand out of the ordinary feedback loop sound, and use it only for flavoring.
Loving the extreme equally as the harmonic M plays not only computer and synthesizer supported sets but also droney sets from Doom Metal monotonous electric Bass to beautiful chord progressions on various Instruments.
M’s approach to this is autobiographical and starting from their first memory they have until the present time and the unknown future.
The lyrics are based on diary entries and focus on intense emotional events and breakdowns which are compiled to whole songs that deliver the intenseness that eventually made M the person they are today.
Always coming up with new performances M includes new ideas in the current sets and kicks out old ones that might evolve in further production into full fledged Songs that will be contributed to the concept album compilation they are working on right now.
